Among various abrasion tester for rubber such as tire, belt, and sole etc., it is Lambourn Type Abrasion Tester that is evaluated as the best reappearance in JIS K6264(Abrasion Testing Method of Vulcanized Rubber) as well as high correlation with the result of product test.

A Lambourn abrasion tester or conventional FPS tester, which is used for abrasion tests of high polymer material for such products like tire and belt, controls slip ratio or speed difference between test piece and road wheel while doing an abrasion test.

* FPS stands for Field Performance Simulation.

This device measures the retraction rate of elongation when a specimen is subjected to a certain elongation, frozen, and then gradually warmed up. The encoder is used to measure the retraction, and a PC is used to set test conditions, display data (TR value, retraction rate), draw graphs (temperature, retraction rate), and save the results to a file. Standard JIS K 6261-4,ISO2921,ASTM D 1329.

Standard: JIS K 6261, ISO 1432, ASTM D1053 , Rubber loses resiliency as temperature goes down. The frozen rubber can't keep its essential characteristics under the temperature below Glass Transition Point. In fact, the rubber applications under severe environments such as vehicle tire in frozen area and aircraft components in the stratosphere are seriously affected. It is a vital importance with the rubber applicants to test low temperature characteristics of vulcanized rubber.

The Durometer comes in two models (type A for midium materials to be measured and type D for hard materials). Type D is suitable for the cases where type A measurement values reach 90 or more.

Low Temperature Brittleness Tester The brittleness tester conforms to JIS K 6261 / JIS K 7216 and determines the brittleness temperature and the 50% brittleness temperature of vulcanized rubber and plastics in a low-temperature environment. TM-2131 is the single type which comes with a set of sample holder, holding five samples, and TM2136 is the multiple type with four sets of sample holders with which four sets of five samples can be tested continuously just by turning a dial to change sample

Ueshima Dynamic Mechanical Analyzer (DMA)

FR-7225 RTM Friction Tester enables to evaluate friction characteristics of tire tread compound on material testing basis, and can be tested in Dry, Wet, Ice conditions on ring shaped road surface. Test is performed by pressing specimen on constantly rotating ring shaped wheel at free rolling condition, or with slip ratio applied in 0 to +/- 95% range and measuring the friction force. Also, max. 30deg. slip angle can be applied on the specimen against it’s tangential line.
